Southeastern Merit Award

  • National Merit finalist or semifinalist

  • $1000/semester for 8 semesters

Excellence in Commitment to Education & Leadership (ExCEL Leaders' Scholarship Program)

  • Demonstrate leadership, citizenship and community service

  • $500/semester for 8 semesters

  • Must submit an application to be considered, limited space available

Scholarship On-Line Inquiry

If you would like to be included in our scholarship database, please complete the Scholarship Inquiry Form located in the Self Service section of your LEONet account. You must be accepted into the university with an existing Southeastern ID number in order to apply.


Veteran and Military Education Benefits

If you are (or a dependent of) a veteran or military service member, you have many VA education benefit options. Please refer to the Office of Military & Veteran Success and Education Benefits pages for more information and assistance.


Non-Resident Fee Waiver

The University of Louisiana System approved an out-of-state fee waiver scholarship for new non-resident beginning freshmen and undergraduate transfer applicants who meet System-defined criteria. This waiver is automatically applied to the student using information provided on their application. Graduate Assistantships

Southeastern's Office of Research and Graduate Studies offers an excellent assistantship program for graduate students.Graduate assistants receive a stipend and, in most positions, a waiver of in-state and out-of-state tuition. Tuition Hardship Waiver

The Tuition Hardship Waiver provides a tuition exemption to eligible Louisiana students for the increase in tuition along with the cost of the Academic Excellence Fee and the Operational Fee.
